Get the Ball Airborne

Mechanically, a lofted, shallow faced clubhead and a Low Bend Point shaft and are the best combination to get the ball airborne.

Loft...

Launch it at a steep angle and the ball will fly high.

Shallow Faced Clubs...

There's a lot of hype out there about low centers of gravity.  If you taped a penny to the bottom of the club do you think it would make the ball fly higher?  Get real.

But... Remember Newton?  Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Strike the ball below it's equator... equal and opposite reaction... it will fly higher.

Shaft geometry...

Shafts are designed to accommodate different skill levels and swing speeds.  A low bend point will help get the ball up.  A high bend point shaft will help keep the ball lower... but the position of the bend point has much less effect on trajectory than loft or face height.
