If you can't hit Long Irons...

you have lots of company.

Average Golfers can't hit long irons.  Their faces are just too steep.

There's a point in the set where the clubs become the enemy.  It's where you  lose the ability to hit quality shots.  For most of us it's between the #6 and #7 irons.

When you try to hit clubs you can't hit you waste shots.  The shots you miss, plus however many strokes it takes to recover from the shots you miss.

If you're thinking you can't hit woods either... It's more likely that you just can't hit the steep faced conventional #1, 3 and 5 Woods.

High Lofted Woods are much easier to hit than Long or Middle Irons.
